A One Of A Kind Unit In Brooklyn

WindowFix was delighted to be involved in this one-of-a-kind project. The brand new boutique condominium in Red Hook was challenging by design.  For this particular bespoke unit on the second floor, we supplied and installed windows from three different manufacturers, each specified by the architect for their individual characteristics.  

In the front of the home, we installed oversized archtop weight and chain windows by Parrett. They were a real wow factor and created a light-filled main living area, not to mention the expansive view. Fabricated in white oak, a clear lacquer finish was all these windows needed to let their beauty come through.

Marvin Signature Ultimate windows were the choice at the rear for décor. With two-tone finishing as an option, Hampton Sage was used for the exterior along with a clear lacquer for the interior were used to blending in with the overall color scheme. These windows were fabricated in Douglas Fir with Low E2 Argon gas and are aluminum clad on the exterior. 

The same Marvin Ultimate windows were also used in the primary bathroom, which was a wet room. They were up to the task of tolerating a great deal of moisture in the air.

Optimum architectural steel windows provided a timeless and classic look with narrow site lines. The Reliant HR4700 fully-welded hot-rolled steel option was specified, which included a Super Durable powder coat finish. The secondary bedroom has a sweeping view of downtown Brooklyn.  

This unique fenestration project finished off this luxury home with plenty of ventilation and expansive views, all to be enjoyed in peace and quiet.
