Regarding this retrofit project, we had the opportunity to furnish and install over 50 Zola wood windows and doors that were Passive House Certified. The historical brownstone was retrofitted to meet Passive House standards, presenting numerous obstacles along the way. One of the critical aspects was the meticulous installation detail for the openings, as well as the coordination of air tightness throughout the structure.

Achieving Passive House certification requires a collaborative effort among various teams involved in the retrofitting project. Our experience and expertise in this building standard played a pivotal role in advancing the project towards certification through the esteemed Passive House Academy (PHA). With our guidance and dedication, the brownstone underwent a remarkable retrofitting transformation, combining historical preservation with cutting-edge sustainability.
